ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly standing committee on Human rights has expressed annoyance over the sorrowful incident of Gadani ship breaking yard and summoned the officials of Balochistan labor, health and other departments in the next meeting.
The sub-committee met under the supervision of Babar Nawaz Khan here on Tuesday. The committee member Syed Esa Noori raised Gandani Ship yard killings incident and stated that as many as one hundred laborers were still missing after the incident.
He said that eighty per cent body parts of laborers who got serious had badly burnt. Syed Esa Noori pointed out that whole Balochistan province was lacking the basic facilities of health and owing to that reason large number of casualties occurred in this sorrowful incident. On this the Chairman Babar Nawaz Khan has assured the committee officials of Balochistan labor, health and other departments would be summoned in the next meeting.
On this occasion committee members have expressed anger and demanded that responsible in this incident should be nominated. Furthermore committee has also reviewed the protection of force converting of religion bill and also given approval of Human Organ Transplant Authority Bill. While expressing his views on the Snajay Perwani has stated that force converting of religion and underage marriages were the violations of human rights. On this Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) member Aliya Kamran has stated that in Pakistan every religion has got freedom.
